Makes me so happy to see someone falling in love with Silent Hill 2. It's been one of my favorites since it first came out. The only downside to playing it so long ago is having to watch Konami turn the franchise into a laughing stock over the following decades. Just watched a playthrough of that new one (I already forgot what it's called, the 'audience participation' one) and it's.. *astoundingly* bad:/ Oh right, Ascension💩

This is a great video but MAN that is a huuuuuuuuge mechanical Tunic spoiler at 30:26, I really would have given a giant "skip go this timecode if you haven't played before because knowing this will fundamentally change your first ever playthrough of Tunic by giving you information way before you're supposed to have it and you don't want that" type of warning. I'm glad I already played Tunic and learned myself!

I appreciate the personal story, but why does every Sonic R fan feel the need to be an apologist like, "Guys, I know." It got mixed reviews when it came out, but it's generally well-liked. In fact, I've never heard anyone say it's bad except for RUclips or Reddit posts saying it's not as bad as people say. It's literally just Sonic characters racing through pretty 3D tracks with pop songs blasting. The classic trio has the abilities you'd expect of them while a tonne of other characters are now playable in Sonic stages for the first time. If characters are "too weak" or "too OP," don't pick them. If a track is too simple, complete the quests. You control your experience. Yeah, critics were always gonna compare it to Mario Kart, but anyone who wants to play it knows exactly what they're getting into. I get dislike, but there's nothing to hate. I'm also not sure why you threw Traveller's Tales under the bus like that. Jon Burton's team is incredibly talented and made both their 3D Sonic games under ridiculous time crunches.

I will "borrow" this game just to watch this essay.

Silent Hill, my beloved. I am fearful for what Konami is once again about to do to you with the Remake and the two other games (and movie) coming after it. They haven't done a single thing right since Silent Hill 4.

Cool video man but if you wanted to make a Silent Hill 2 video just make one. The game is great and every video on it is different with interesting takes so it would be worth watching. Just tacking on 3 and 4 and just using 1 as a set up kinda sucks.

Silent Hill 2, a game that means so much to me, and now knowing it means alot to you makes me happy, but im glad you picked up on my exact feelings on James and why he did that to Mary. It wasnt out of anger or jealousy, it was out of Love, he cared so much, yet he did it, its still a horrible act, but he still went through with it. James, you are....one sick man, but i will always comeback to see you again welcoming you back as a old friend.

I wasn't expecting to be hit so hard by an analysis video, despite knowing fully well what Silent Hill is about. The way you presented these themes spoke deeply to me, and for some reason, I felt seen and heard in a way I hadn't in a long time. I feel like some weight's been lifted off my shoulders. My wife is in a come. She had been since 10/04/23 I've played SH2 before. When i was a teenager. But now that my wife is in this shit. This game finally, i can now understand it on a deeper level. I won't go into detail, but. death+regret, your life in general it really doesn't mean anything until your life or your love's life is gone/in danger I'm typing this out as i listen and he understands what i feel or i agree with what he says. Maybe one day i can talk about my feelings and how my life is similar to Sh2 My mind fogs my life. I keep running deeper into the fog hoping i can reach something. A check point. I've had experience with illness in my family. my father was terminally ill for many years, always in an up and down battle for his life. it started so suddenly, and in a single moment everything changed, then again another moment many years later when he seemly closed his eyes and passed. but this can also be said for good events, like introducing my friend to my brother and now they're married which also ties into another thing this man said: "Humanity will always find a way to live on, even if life looks different than it once did" even after my family was devastated, we found a way to live on. and I NEED this man --who i discovered TODAY-- to know how poetic and amazing those words are!

The Last Guardian is one of the most unique games of previous generation! And not only this! Touching story, great characters, amazing locations and beautiful music makes this game complete! Too bad it is sooo much underrated, people have not much patience for dealing with camera work and Trico itself, but even that it is worth of strugling. Great game!

I've been lonely most of my life and never played horror games. When I younger I had nightmares quite frequently so playing Silent Hill and Resident Evil was definitely not on my list. I finally finished playing Silent Hill 2 on my modded PS2 and what a fucking amazing game. I've seen videos beforehand and knew what was going to happen, yet I was still scared at 32. 😂 I agree with you, definitely top 5 game for myself. Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater is $1 for me. ✌😎👍

I worked up to expert, but never could manage to strum with my elbow. My party trick therefore became playing the intro to through the fire and flames on expert by holding down the green button with my teeth. 😅
